Welcome to Your “Island of Brews” – A Community Celebration
The 2026 Southern California Homebrewers Festival (SCHF) is more than a beer festival—it is a massive, volunteer-driven community gathering. Held at Vail Lake KOA Resort on May 1-3, 2026, SCHF is built by homebrewers, for homebrewers.
This Year’s Theme is “ISLAND”: We invite you to be an active part of the festivities! Whether you are pouring your own creations with a club, decorating your campsite in tropical tiki gear, or sharing a rare bottle with a new friend, your participation makes the festival.
Experience the Best of California Homebrew:
- Community Participation: Join the Friday night “Trick or Treating” campsite crawl, where clubs host pop-up bars right in their campsites. Arrive early for the Thursday Night Bottle Share hosted by the CHA Board.
- Explore Great Beer: Wander through our “Island of Brews” and sample thousands of unique, small-batch creations poured by over 40 distinct homebrew clubs. From traditional lagers to experimental island fruit sours, you’ll find it here.
- Three Live Bands: We are keeping the island vibes high with a lineup of three live bands performing throughout the weekend on the main stage.
- Education & Growth: Learn from the masters at our educational seminars featuring industry professionals and expert homebrewers.

- 2026 Festival Registration: Full access to the festival grounds, tastings, and entertainment.
- 2026 CHA Membership ($10): Automatically included to satisfy legal requirements for our private event.

Pricing Schedule:
- Early Bird (Jan 1 – Jan 31): $60 Total
- Regular Price (Feb 1 – Mar 31): $75 Total
- Late Registration (Apr 1 – Event): $80 Total

- REFUNDS & TRANSFERS: All sales are final; NO REFUNDS. We will assist with transfers until April 30th, 2026.
- CAMPING NOT INCLUDED: Book directly with Vail Lake KOA.
- 21+ ONLY: No one under 21 allowed.
- ONE PER PERSON: Only one bundle per user account. Please create separate accounts for spouses/partners.
